S0Engagement modes

Three ways in. One pipeline underneath.

Teams arrive at different points. Some have nothing but an application, some have a BOM they no longer trust, some have a settled design and need quotes that are actually comparable. Each is an entry point into the same sequence.

01What we do

S-01

Category intelligence

Enters at stage 02 · Structure

You know the domain. You do not yet know what decides the choice.

We resolve the requirement into component categories and give you the parameter set, the trade-offs, and the landscape structure for each. This is what most teams are actually missing when they say they need a supplier list.

What you receive

Component structure for the system

Parameter set and trade-off map per category

Landscape structure — who operates where, in what role

Recurring failure modes for the categories involved

S-02

Supplier validation

Enters at stage 04 · Validation

You have candidates. You do not know which claims survive a second source.

Bring a shortlist, a BOM, or a set of datasheets. Each supplier goes through identity, capability, technical, and commercial checks, and each claim comes back verified, unverified, or contradicted with its sources attached.

What you receive

Validation record per supplier and per claim

Manufacturer, channel, and reseller separated

Test conditions recovered where the datasheet omits them

Continuity assessment — lifecycle, lead time, second source

S-03

Sourcing execution

Enters at stage 06 · RFQ

The technical case is settled. You need quotes on one comparable basis.

The RFQ is generated from the requirement record, so every supplier quotes the same thing under the same conditions. Responses return against a known basis with the validation context still attached to them.

What you receive

Structured RFQ package built from the requirement

Issue to qualified suppliers only

Responses normalised to one comparison basis

Decision record you can hand to quality and finance

02What you own

Everything the process produces stays yours.

A validated shortlist is worth something precisely because it answers to your requirement and nothing else. These are the assets you keep at the end of it.

The requirement record

The structured brief, with the constraints made explicit and reusable on the next programme.

The validation findings

Every claim with its sources and its state attached, ready to hand to quality and finance.

The shortlist and its reasoning

Each option with the reason it is on the list, on one comparable basis.

A free hand on where to buy

The decision and the record are yours. We are funded by you, so the work answers to you.

Start with the application

Which entry point is yours?

If you are not sure, send the application. Deciding where you actually are in the pipeline is the first thing we do, and it is frequently earlier than teams expect.
